The cast is coming together for Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron, with James Spader, Elisabeth Olsen, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson all joining the original cast for the highly anticipated sequel. Now another new face is joining the project, with Thomas Kretschmann (King Kong, Wanted, t.v.'s Dracula) signing on the dotted line to play Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker, hated enemy of Nick Fury in the comics, and a high ranking member of terrorist group Hydra, last seen in Captain America: the First Avenger.
Not much is known about Strucker's role in the sequel, but it is reported Kretschmann has signed on to star in multiple movies, meaning we're going to see a quite bit of Baron Strucker over the coming years. The story of Age of Ultron is being kept tightly under wraps, but we do know it'll feature the big screen debut of fan favourite villain Ultron (portrayed by James Spader), a sentient robot whose movie origin ties him to Tony Stark.
Avengers: Age of Ultron hits the big screen on May 1st 2015
