The cast of Edgar Wright's Ant-Man is slowly coming together, with latest report saying Patrick Wilson, for his first superhero movie since Watchmen, is joining Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Michael Pena, and Evangilene Lily for Marvel Studio's opening shot in their Phase Three initiative. There is no word on who will be playing, though some people are suggesting since Rudd and Douglas are both playing versions of the size changing hero, he could be playing the third person to hold the mantle, Eric O'Grady, star of the short lived, but awesome, The Irredeemable Ant-Man series (as you can expect from that name, he wasn't a nice guy, being more of an anti-hero who used his powers for personal gain). Marvel Studios have already said that O'Grady won't appear, though they are allowed to change their minds. For me, I think he is playing the villain, because, as superhero movie casting dictates, first we get the heroes, then the supporting cast, then the bad guy. With the movie expected to begin shooting in the next few months, everything will become clear soon enough.
