UPDATE: Looks like Deadline may have jumped the gun, with several reports surfacing that sources close to LeBron James deny that he is attached to the project, and that it is even in the works at the moment. Hopefully this will all get cleared up soon, and if not now, Space Jam 2 will see the light of day someday.
After years of rumours and wishful thinking, the long awaited sequel to smash hit Space Jam (18 years!!), which teamed up the cream of Warner Bros. animated roster with Michael Jordan (as if you didn't know), has finally been announced as in development, with NBA star LeBron James mixing it up with Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and the rest of the gang on the basketball court. Brothers Bill and Charlie Ebersol will be taking control of the development of the sequel. It's very early day on the project at the moment, but I for one am beyond excited for this.
