Captain America: The Winter Soldier is still about two weeks out from hitting the big screen, but already a release date for the third Cap adventure has been announced, possibly signally the clash of three major comic book icons. Because Captain America 3's release date is May 6th 2016, which just so happens to be the release date given for Batman vs. Superman. At this stage neither studio, Marvel or Warner Bros., seems to be backing down, promising an opening day slugfest (with dollars instead of punches) unlike anything we've seen before, but a lot can happen in Hollywood in space of a few months, and either movies release schedule can be subject to change (especially given reports that the Batman vs. Superman script isn't even finished yet).
Unsurprisingly, nothing is known about Captain America 3, other than The Russo Brothers have been signed on to direct again, having impressed Marvel Studio heads with The Winter Soldier.
