Up until now, everything about Guardians of the Galaxy has been focused on the titular heroes, with very little time for the bad guys. Well, through James Gunn's Instagram, we get our first real good look (she is only glimpsed in the trailers) of Doctor Who's Karen Gillan's space pirate Nebula, a character the director describes as an "interplanetary Clint Eastwood". Gunn is a big fan of practical effects, and while the movie will have its fair share of CGI (Rocket Raccoon and Groot being the main ones), the aliens that inhabit this universe will mostly be brought to life will traditional make up effects, like we see here. I think this will add a lot of charm to the picture.
Released: August 1st
