Coming from The Girl Next Door's Luke Greenfield, Let's Be Cops sees Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr. as two friends who impersonate police officers after renting the uniforms for a costume party. There is some business about the two getting on the wrong side of a Russian mobster, but that is not really addressed in this first Red-Band trailer. Instead it focuses on the shed of laughs coming from this situation. It could just be that it is about cops, but I'm getting a real 21 Jump Street vibe from it (in a good way), and those who have seen New Girl and Happy Endings on t.v. will know Johnson and Wayans have some serious comedy chops.
