XYZ Films, who produced the original, have signed on The Expendables 3 director Patrick Hughes. It's an intriguing choice, since the Sylvester Stallone action fest is only is second feature after Australian thriller Red Hill. While many will no doubt roll their eyes at yet another American remake of a classic foreign movie, which saw a lone SWAT team member fight his way through a high rise to get at a notorious drug lord, Evans will have a hand in it as an executive producer, and the original's fight choreographers are also attached, meaning the project will still retain a spark of what it it awesome.
