Ray Fisher has been cast for the role of Cyborg in Batman vs Superman. Fisher will star alongside Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Jesse Eisenberg, Gal Gadot and Amy Adams. While a Justice League move is inevitable at some point, this really confirms the Warner Bros. intentions. When that Justice League movie will hit cinemas nobody knows. The rumour mill has constantly spun the idea that this Batman vs Superman movie could morph into a JL movie. While that’s incredibly unlikely at this stage, Cyborg’s involvement will be minor apparently but expect to see more of him in expanded roles related to the Justice League universe.
With superhuman strength thanks to most of his body parts being replaced by advanced prosthetics, Cyborg first appeared in a special insert in “DC Comics Presents” #26 in October 1980. But its his membership of the Teen Titans that got him into the big leagues. However, in September 2011 Cyborg was established as a founding member of Justice League. So if you were still pondering about a Justice League movie ever seeing the light of day, stop pondering.
