Long before Man of Steel hit the big screen, we all knew that Warner Bros. were planning a cinematic adventure for DC Comics' big guns, the Justice League (if Green Lantern wasn't the critical bomb it was, we would probably be a lot closer than we are). The writing was on the wall with Batman vs. Superman, especailly with Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) joining Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck as Supes and Bats. Now the project has been officially announced, with Warner Bros. president of worldwide production Greg Silverman telling The Wall Street Journal Batman vs. Superman will be an expansion to the universe set up in Man of Steel, with the movie leading into Justice League, with Zack Snyder again at the helm. It's no surprise to anybody, but thankfully we finally have some confirmation on the project. Further possible details about the movie came from a tweet from The Hollywood Reporter’s Borys Kit, saying that Batman vs. Superman and Justice League shooting back to back, with a possible 2017 release date for the JL movie.
