Like alot of Star Wars Episode 7 rumours, this wasn’t overheard in a public toilet or by someone who once saw J.J. Abrams on a street 17 years ago.
Coming from Disney head honcho, Alan Horn (whos being interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter in the clip below) who says “Shooting is underway”. He also mentions that the cast are more or less in place, but its not completely “done yet”. He says that the screenplay is where it needs to be now, which highlights the problems in the past following that early draft by Michael Arndt.
I’d hazard a guess that the shooting is alot of second unit stuff and by May things will be well underway with the entire cast tossing lightsabers at each other and what not. And speaking of hazarding guesses, the anticipation for something, be it a casting announcement, some brief clip or at this stage a Wookie taking a dump is through the roof. So heres my “guess”. Something will land on May 4th. It has to! International Star Wars day. The marketing rights itself and the internet will explode.
