Can you imagine being in Hall H when the first footage from Batman v Superman screened? The place went nuts. The footage showed Batman (in a costume similar to what he wore in The Dark Knight Rises, except a bit more heavily armoured) standing on a rooftop in Gotham. It’s raining. He pulls a tarp off an object which is revealed to be the bat signal. He turns it on and the rainy Gotham skies are illuminated as the camera tracks up to see Superman just hovering in the light. Supes looks pissed off and his eyes light up with his heat vision and he glares at Batman! Holy shit, that seems incredible. Sounds like the opening to the movie, where the footage would end with “20 years later” and then we’re into older Batman territory.
