Harry Potter may well have kickstarted Daniel Radcliffe’s career and now Horns is the movie that finally cements him as a rock solid actor and not just the kid that messed around with a magic wand. For the last few years Radcliffe has been moving away from all things Potter with the likes of “The Woman In Black” and threading the boards in Equus and most recently on Broadway, where Radcliffe and Pat Shortt have finished their long run of The Cripple Of Innishman.
I’ve always said that Radcliffe is a decent actor and if he could shake the Harry Potter vibes, then he’s on his way to some serious, potentially award winning, performances. Horns is just the thing that the actor needs. It’s spooky, it’s funny, it’s dark and Daniel Radcliffe looks phenomenal here. In the aftermath of his girlfriends mysterious death, Ig Perrish awakes to find a pair of horns sprouting on his forehead.
