Some of the first images of Hitman Agent 47 have turned up at Comic-Con. The movie reboots the original 2007 video game adaptation and started shooting in March of this year, in Berlin. Starring Rupert Friend, Zachary Quinto, Hannah Ware and Ciaran Hinds, the plot follows a young woman named Katia van Dees, who teams up with Agent 47 in order to find her father and her true ancestry. They discover that Katia is a genetically engineered assassin just like 47. Together, they fight the Syndicate to find Katia's father.
While it’s unfair to shit can this already, Friend looks completely miscast here (Paul Walker was originally going to play Agent 47), looking more like an extra in a Guy Ritchie film than a well known video game character. Quinto on the other hand, looks decent enough. I don’t think this is going to be an top notch videogame adaptation, as it just looks like it’s done by the numbers. But we’ll wait and see.
