The rumour mill has grinded away over the years about a third XXX movie. The original XXX hit cinemas in 2002 and after pulling in $277 mill worldwide, a second movie was greenlit, which didn’t see Vin Diesel reprise his role. With no Groot on board, the movie flopped and only raked in $71 million worldwide.
So, yes, this comes as surprise that a third movie will see the light of day. Speaking to Collider, Vin says “I am going to do the next xXx which will be filming in part in the Philippines, which I’m very, very, very excited about,”.
Before that, he will be sucking lollipops as he takes on the role of Kojak for Universal. I’m not sure what I’m more excited about, Kojak or XXX 3. Now, where’s my tub of sarcastic lollipops?
