A team of a-holes, better known (possibly) as The Guardians Of The Galaxy have demolished the box office this past weekend, pulling in a whopping $94.3 million. It’s the biggest debut for an August release ever, as the last record holder was The Bourne Ultimatum which held the biggest August opening, since 2007. Back then it raked in $69.3 million. Worldwide, Guardians have so far pulled in a little less than US Domestic with a rather respectable $66 million. Combined totals give Guardians Of The Galaxy a grand total of $160 million, which I’d expect will rise steadily as word of mouth and hugely critical response spread through the ether. I’d also hazard a guess, that the movie will also get a tonne of repeat viewings.
