Been busy having a baby this week? I was, and more importantly so was my wife as we welcomed baby Mia into the world. Whatever you were doing, you might not have had time to get all the big movie stories, so here’s what went down during the last week!
- Richard Attenbourough passed away.
- Jack Reynor joins Andy Serkis’s Jungle Book Origins and will voice Brother Wolf.
- Sin City 2 flops as it made less than $10 million when it opened.
- The first teaser for Cartoon Saloon’s Song Of The Sea came to port, and if you like selkies you’ll love this!
- James Bond 24 is looking to bring back some iconic Bond henchmen.
- Remember National Lampoons Vacation franchise, well it’s being rebooted and Ed Helms will play Clarke Griswald. Christ Hemsworth and Charlie Day are also onboard in what is poised to be a reboot disaster, in more ways than one.
- A new trailer for Gone Girl crept into our inboxes and murdered us, or did it?
- Exists, a movie about Bigfoot killing a bunch of young people in a cabin in the woods, is not a Harry and the Hendersons reboot you were hoping it might be.
- Billy Crystal brilliantly remembered Robin Williams at the Emmys.
- 60 seconds of Interstellar landed, and we’re still none the wiser about the movie, except it looks awesome!
- Ice Bucket Challenges have flooded facebook timelines everywhere and even Superman and Lois Lane got in on the act on the set of Batman v Superman.
- Another minute goes by in Hollywood and another found footage movie turns up. This time it’s the Pyramid which has James Buckley from The Inbetweeners in it. That’s a good thing right?
- Ron Howard and Tom Hanks team up for another Dan Brown adaptation. This time it’s Inferno. Not sure if Hanks will be rocking the worlds worst haircut again.
- DC not allowing any laughs in their comic book movies?
- I Am Groot
- Stan Lee set to appear in Kevin Smith’s Yoga Hosers
- Daniel Radcliffe has been feeling very horny in the new trailer for his new movie, Horns
- Fab Irish indie movie Trampoline is now available to stream online at seedandspark.com
- A new clip for The Maze Runner shows you everything you need to know about the movie in 60 seconds
- Hugh Grant is in another rom-com…surprise, surprise. It’s called The Rewrite
- The latest trailer for a movie that has nothing to do with catching foxes has arrived, and it’s bloody brilliant!
- You know Jon Stewart from The Daily Show? Remember how he took some time off to direct a movie about a journalist who was arrested during the 2009 elections in Iran? Well, the first trailer for Rosewater is here.
- Han Solo’s dodgy leg has healed and Star Wars Episode VII production is after starting up again.
- David Fincher directed some commercials for Gap. And yes, they do look pretty damn Fincher!
