To my mind, the only computer game based on a Christopher Nolan film is the pretty decent Batman Begins. But that all changes with the launch of the Interstellar mobile app, a game where players design and navigate solar systems in the Endurance, the space ship from the movie. Featuring realistic physics created by theoretical physicist Kip Thorne, the movie's scientific advisor, players navigate their way through solar systems, created by themselves or other players, avoiding moons, asteroids, and other celestial bodies, seeing how far far they can pilot the Endurance without running out of fuel or losing time relative to Earth. It's a nice little taster while we wait for the movie to be released on November 7th. A trailer for the app can be seen below, and you can download the game here.
On top of the app, Wired have revealed another new poster, the third in as many days, giving a really good look at the Endurance.
