Following on from their acquiring distribution of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend, Netflix have announced they have completed negotiations on a four film deal with Adam Sandler, which will see his Happy Madison Productions work with the online streaming service on four exclusive movies, produced by and starring the comedy actor. Despite recent failures like That's my Boy and Blended, the actor still has a loyal fan base, Grown Ups 2 grossing $250 million worldwide can attest to that, and no doubt Netflix are counting on their considerable support with this deal.
It'll be interesting to see what movies come out of this deal, not having to worry about box office grosses could see the actor go back to something akin to his better, earlier movies, or even the dramas where he strangely excels. On the other hand, it could lead to Grown-Ups 3, 4, 5, and 6.
