The last time we saw Finnish director Jalmari Helander, he brought us the killer Santa Claus movie Rare Exports. Now, he's back with the equally over the top Big Game, which sees Air Force One shot down over the Finnish countryside, forcing the U.S. President (Samuel L. Jackson) to team up with a local teenager to survive the wilderness and the terrorists hunting him down. There's something undeniably 80's about this premise, and the below trailer promises a movie just outrageous enough that it just might work.
Having already debuted at last year's Toronto International Film Festival, Big Game takes a bow in Finland on March 25th, before coming to our shores on May 8th. No U.S. release date has been given as of yet.
