First Look At The Poltergeist Reboot

For a children's animated movie, Monster House was genuinely scary, and showed that director Gil Kenan had some serious horror chops. Hopefully, we'll see him them to good use for his upcoming reboot of the Poltergeist franchise (which sees renowned horror director Sam Raimi signed on as producer, a seal of quality in my opinion), and judging from these first images, courtesy of USA Today, he's certainly on the right track, even recreating an iconic scene from Tobe Hooper's horror classic.

Nothing much has changed story wise, with a family (led by Sam Rockwell and Rosemarie DeWitt) who find their home has been invaded by angry spirits. When their 8 year old daughter (Kennedi Clements) is targeted by said spirits, they call on a respected supernatural researcher and clairvoyant (Jared Harris) for help. The first trailer is expected to hit sometime tomorrow, but for now, let the below images, including one of an uber creepy clown doll tide you over.
