Creed is one of the movies of 2015 that I'm most excited about. I'm a sucker for the Rocky franchise, and thought it was tied up nicely in the last movie. When I heard that Stallone was reprising his role as everyone's favourite underdog, my initial reaction was that it was terrible idea, but the more I found out about Creed, the more I respected the direction it was heading.
Creed sees Rocky reluctantly agree to train Adonis Creed, the grandson of his late friend Apollo. Adonis will be played by Michael B Jordan, fresh after wrapping on the reboot of Fantastic Four, and will be directed by Ryan Coogler who worked with Jordan on the excellent Fruitvale Station.
Now, we have our first look at the pair thanks to some behind-the-scenes pics from ComingSoon.net, and Stallone is starting to look more like Paulie than a retired prizefighter!
