Offering a unique spin on the usual film festival structure, Metropolis Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Cult Film Festival, taking place from the 24th to the 27th of September, promises to be a unique event for Dublin, and Ireland in general, mixing in the exciting elements of a comic con, from costumes to replica props to The Sci-Fi and Fantasy Fan Ball, with screenings of the best science fiction and fantasy from around the globe, with digitally re-mastered classics rubbing shoulders with first look new release and kid friendly screenings, not the mention a short film competition, workshops, and talks.
But Ireland's first festival dedicated to sci-fi and fantasy film needs your help to boldly go where no film festival has gone before. A Fund It campaign is currently being set up, and will run from April 30th to May 27th, with any contribution, no matter how big or how small, helping to make this wonderful celebration of sci-fi and fantasy a reality.
