The first trailer for The Walk did a great job of selling the spectacle of Robert Zemeckis’ retelling of Philippe Petit daring, and illegal, 1974 high wire walk between the twin towers of the World Trade Centre (already brought to the big screen with the fantastic documentary Man on Wire), but not much else. Now, the latest trailer has come our way, and really delves into the meat of the story, which, at the end of the day, is a heist movie as Petit (Joseph Gordon Levitt, sporting a believable French accent) and his crew have to sneak into set up up the high wire act. It’s this aspect of the story that really has me interested, as well as seeing how the high sequences will work. Hearing the sound of the wire tension near the end gave me goosebumps.
