Coming out of the Sundance Film Festival riding a tidal wave of praise, Brooklyn, the latest film from Intermission director John Crowley, tells the tale of a young Irish immigrant (Saoirse Ronan) who must choose between her new home in 1950’s Brooklyn and the country she grew up in. An impressive cast, which also includes Domhnail Gleeson, Julie Walters, and Jim Broadbent, is backed by Nick Hornby as screenwriter, adapting the acclaimed novel by Colm Tóibín. All in all, Brooklyn promises to be something very special indeed, as this stunning first trailer attests to, promising an incredibly emotional and powerful story.
