Even after nineteen years, the possibility of a sequel to Space Jam is something that has never gone away, the nostalgia tinged love for the 1996 animated/live action hybrid proving to be quite a thing. Now, the rumour has reared its head again, with NBA superstar LeBron James and his company Springhill Entertainment signing a deal to partner with Warner Bros. covering projects in the medium of film, t.v., and digital content. Of course, Space Jam 2 isn’t mentioned (in fact, no specific project is) it hasn’t stopped the possible team up of James (who is receiving a ton of praise for his supporting turn in Trainwreck) and the Looney Tunes gang being pushed into the public eye yet again.
It’s well worth taking note that this exact same rumour burned us just last year, but it’s hard not to imagine what could be. So, is it about time for Space jam 2? Sound off with your thoughts below.
