Based on incredible real life events, Will Smith takes the lead role in Pater Landesman’s (Parkland) Concussion, taking on the role of Dr. Bennet Omalu, the forensic neuropathologist who first discovered the existence of football retailed brain trauma in pro-players, and his conflict with the NFL as they try to squash his findings since they raise questions about the safety of the sport.

The first trailer wastes no time into throwing headfirst into the drama, and there is plenty to intrigue an audience here, and Smith is putting in a fine performance in the lead role. He seems to be putting a lot more effort than his most recent roles (and lets not forget, the December release date in America puts in the Oscar race), and it’ll be good to see him back on track in a more serious role.
Released: December 25th (U.S.)/ January 29th (IRL/U.K.)
