New We Are Your Friends Featurettes

We’re exactly one week from Zac Efron’s We Are Your Friends hitting the big screen (on this side of the pond. Our American friends have to wait one day more) and in anticipation, we have two videos for ya. First up is a feature focusing on the electronic DJs, including Nicky Romero, Alesso, and Them Jeans, director Max Joseph worked with closely when making the movie. Then, we have a prank that the cast, and Joseph’s Catfish co-star Nev Schulman, played on the director, recreating his ‘signature move’ on set.

Synopsis: WE ARE YOUR FRIENDS is a coming of age drama about what it takes to find your sound. Set in the world of electronic music and Hollywood nightlife, an aspiring 23 year old DJ named Cole spends his days scheming with his childhood friends and his nights working on the one track that will set the world on fire. All of this changes when he meets a charismatic but damaged older DJ named James who takes him under his wing. Things get complicated, however, when Cole starts falling for James' much younger girlfriend, Sophie. With Cole's forbidden relationship intensifying and his friendships unravelling, he must choose between love, loyalty, and the future he knows he's destined for.
