Force Friday is now only one week away, with the global launch of merchandise inspired by the highly anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens film. Toys, collectibles, gadgets, apparel and more will officially hit shelves at Disney Stores and other retailers on Friday, Sept. 4 at 12:01 a.m.
To celebrate this unique product
launch, a variety of Irish and UK retailers are inviting Star Wars
fans to line up outside their doors and count down to midnight,
including Disney Store and Smyths.
In Dublin, a special event will be
held at Disney Store on Grafton Street, where fans in Star
Wars fancy dress can start lining up at 20:30, with giveaways
leading up to midnight. Then at 12:01 a.m., the Disney Store will
open its doors for fans to experience its galactic line-up of Star
Wars: The Force Awakens merchandise – with an exclusive theme
pin and other giveaways*, as well as an in-store competition and
product demos.
Those that cannot wait until Force
Friday midnight openings can get a sneak peek of highlights from the
Star Wars: The Force Awakens product collection by tuning in
to the global live stream on the Star
Wars YouTube channel. Unfolding
over 18 hours in 15 cities and 12 countries, fans can start watching
at 10:45 p.m. BST on Sept. 2, and catch Ireland the UK’s live slot
at 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 3. Do not miss this chance to see the new
products, unboxed on a global stage, for the very first time.
Fans
