Not wanting to prove Back to the Future Part II a liar, Lexus have gone and done it. They’ve built a hoverboard by the year 2015. So, which means we’re all living in the future now, right?
Using magnetic levitation, similar to the witchcraft that makes Japanese bullet trains float over their tracks, the Lexus overboard is made up of a ceramic superconductor, cooled by liquid nitrogen, that ‘floats’ 2 cm above a magnetic track buried in the ground. To get into the science of it would likely make you head explode, so just watch the above video again and again, and realise the dream is now a reality. Now, flying cars!!! Make it happen, Lexus!!!
