Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reboot finally comes our way this Thursday (Friday for our friends in the States), and a new trailer has been released, giving us an extended look at this new take on Marvel’s First Family. What’s more, there’s also a cheeky cameo from Deadpool, pimping the fact his trailer will be attached to the movie.
While persistent rumours have soured many people on this reboot, I do have to congratulate it for doing something none of the big blockbusters this Summer could pull off: all of the many trailers haven’t given away any big spoilers. Look back, we know just the basics, nothing approaching a spoiler has been ruined for us. Hell, even Toby Kebbell’s big bad, Doom, has been relatively absent from the advertising. No matter how the movie turns out, this is a big tick in the win column for me.
Released: August 6th (IRL/U.K.)/August 7th (U.S.)
Synopsis: FANTASTIC FOUR, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways.
