With a story that further goes down the 21 Jump Street route in being an action comedy, Johnson will play an overly serious and by the book lifeguard forced to team up with Efron’s young hot head when their beloved beach is threatened with environmental destruction at the hands of an oil tycoon. Both actors have shown quite the flair for the comedic (Johnson on more occasions than I can count, and Efron with last year’s Neighbours), and they feel like the right fit with the Odd Couple-esque set up their characters find themselves in. Hopefully, Efron’s deal comes together, as I quite like him in comedy roles.
