Based on the bestselling novel from Ransom Riggs, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children is the next movie in line for Tim Burton, and the first look has come our way with this extremely peculiar teaser trailer.
Yeah, I have no idea what’s going on either. For our American friends, this dropped on September 3rd, which fans of the book will know is ‘Loop Day’. Again, I have no idea, but a quick look at the synopsis does suggest something that is right up Burton’s alley, and fingers crossed this is a return to form for the kooky director:
When his beloved grandfather leaves Jake clues to a mystery that spans different worlds and times, he finds a magical place known as Miss Peregrine's School for Peculiar Children. But the mystery and danger deepen as he gets to know the residents and learns about their special powers...and their terrifying enemies. Ultimately, Jake discovers that only his own special "peculiarity" can save his new friends.
With a cast that includes Asa Butterfield, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris O’Dowd, Alison Janney, Judi Dench, Rupert Everret, Terence Stamp, and Eva Green as the owner of the titular orphanage, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children reaches our shores on February 19th 2016, and America on March 4th.
