First there was the Rise. Then, the Dawn. Now, we get ready for war as the uber-popular Planet of the Apes reboot continues with War for the Planet of the Apes. Dawn director Matt Reeves once again steps behind the camera, and while little is known about the story, he has previously revealed the movie will see Caesar (Andy Serkis) tackle with the burden of being a war time leader to his ape brethren and sees how he becomes a seminal figure in ape history. Filming has begun, and Wyatt has shared with us the first behind the scenes shot of the sequel, which can be seen below.

Joining Serkis this time round are Steve Zahn, who will also be donning the motion capture suit to play an ape, Gabriel Chavarria (t.v. show East Los High), and Woody Harrelson as the human villain known only as The Colonel.
War for the Planet of the Apes is set for release July 14th 2017.
