There’s been very little on the Warcraft front lately, but with the first trailer for Duncan Jones’ (Moon) adaption of the game that spawned the uber-popular World of Warcraft said to be coming our way in the next few weeks, Empire have three new images for us, namely of Toby Kebbell’s orc leader Durotan, Travis Fimmel’s human warrior Sir Anduin Lothar, and Robert Kazinsky’s legendary orc warchief Orgrim Doomhammer (the orcs will be brought to life through the magic that is motion capture).
While we’ve still yet to see anything from the movie, Warcraft is one that we should be all be highly anticipating. Fantasy is big business nowadays (thank you, Game of Thrones), and with a rich mythology to work from, Jones’ first foray into the realm of the blockbuster promises to mix high fantasy with breathtaking visuals. Just imagine what the mind behind Moon and Source Code could do with a massive budget.
