Expanding on the ending of Insurgent, the latest trailer for The Divergent Series: Allegiant has come our way, indicating something of an about turn as the series is airing down the home stretch. Sure, the familiar cliches are there (even when her society is in a major upheaval, Tris is still the chosen one), but the new details dropped opens up the movie’s world in some pretty exciting ways. But as we saw with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, splitting up the series’ closing act (Ascendent is set for release in 2017), there is every chance this could end up feeling just like set-up for the final installment.
