With Kirsten Dunst, Joel Edgerton, and Adam Driver along for the ride, Michael Shannon once again teams with take Shelter director Jeff Nichols for sci-fi thriller Midnight Special as a father who goes on the run to protect his son (Jaeden Liberher) after he begins to exhibit special powers. Our first trailer is very brief, giving us just a taste of what is in store for us, but it does promise a return to old school, almost 70’s era sci-fi, with the action driven by the characters (not a surprise, considering the caliber of actors on display) as opposed to the more fantastical elements. Needless to see, this has be very intrigued.
