Despite getting off to rocky start thanks to some controversial comments from producer Michael Bay (and the fact that Bay was even attached to it in the first place, y’know, the usual), last year’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot proved to be lot of fun. Flawed but fun. With Earth to Echo’s David Green at the helm, the sequel, Out of the Shadows (probably not related to the 2013 Turtles video game of the same name) comes our way next year, and judging from the brief teaser, things have definitely been kicked up a notch.
Posted to Stephen Amell’s (T.V.’s Arrow himself) Facebook page, we get a brief look at Amell as fan favourite vigilante Casey Jones and Tyler Perry as mad scientist Baxter Stockman (whose original status as a human turned into a giant mutated fly has been retconned in recent years to the far less cooler pilot of a powerful mech suit), as well as the tiniest look at WWE superstar Sheamus in motion captured form as everyone’s favourite humanoid rhino Rocksteady. This should tide fans over till a full trailer debuts tomorrow.
