Anyone who knows Quentin Tarantino knows that the man has a million and one movie ideas floating around in that head of his, and he’s not afraid to let you know about. The bad thing is, that most of the time we never get to see them. So that Vega Brothers movie, with Micheal Madsen and John Travolta teaming up to chronicle exactly what Vincent Vega got up to in Amsterdam, is never going to happen, and Killer Crow, the companion piece to Inglourious Basterds, is looking less and less of a possibility. But speaking to What the Flick, Tarantino hinted that one movie he seemed to have put out to pasture is back in his sights again: Kill Bill Vol. 3. “There is definitely a possibility, [I’ll] stop short of saying a possibility”, he said of the project, “For one reason in particular : Uma and me would have a really good time working together.”
He didn’t reveal anything about what would happen in the movie, other than it would pick up some time after Vol. 2 because he wants Uma Thurman’s character, Beatrix Kiddo, “to have time for peace. I wanted her to have some time with her daughter. She could actually enjoy her life for a while”. When he has talked about the movie in the past, he referred to it as Kill Beatrix and it would follow the daughter of Vernita Green (Vivica A. Fox) going after Beatrix to exact revenge for her mother’s murder, something that was hinted at in the first volume. It’s unknown if this plot will remain intact if Tarantino ever decides to make it, but he does refer to it as “probably my most visionary movie”.
While we wait with baited breath to see what happens with this project, the director’s latest film, The Hateful Eight, hits cinemas on January 8th.
