Billed as the spiritual sequel to his own Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Nice Guys sees writer/director Shane Black doing what he does best, buddy comedy laced with pitch black humour, as Ryan Gosling’s down on his luck private-eye must team with Russell Crowe’s hired leg break to figure out how the death of a porn star releases to the case of a missing girl in 1970’s Los Angeles. The first NSFW trailer has come our way, letting know exactly what we’re in store for.
First off, who knew Crowe and Gosling (which is the perfect name for a detective series) would work so well together, as the two leaning heavily on their strengths compliment each other perfectly. Beyond that, there is a hell of a lot to like about this movie, from the zippy dialogue to the laugh out loud acts of supreme stupidity, promising Black is once again on top of his game.
