The Oscar nominations are coming later today, and while some people are speculating on whether or not Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be nominated in the top categories (Best Picture especially), there is no doubt that JJ Abrams and co. are gunning for the technical awards, which they have very chance of winning. Just to hammer home how spectacular the effects in the movie are, a new VFX reel has come online, taking us through key scenes (spoilers if you are one of the two people not to have seen The Force Awakens) to show how the shots were achieved through a mixture of practical and digital effects.
