Everyone is getting fed up of the gambling of people’s financial futures Wall Street and other financial institution have been getting up to lately, and now Hollywood is beginning to air those seem feelings. The Big Short reaches our shores in a few short weeks, and now we have Jodie Foster’s Money Monster to look forward to. George Clooney takes centre stage a Lee Gates, a bombastic T.V> host who scams his views into making bad investments. When one of Gates’ victims Kyle Budwell (Jack Connell) storms a taping of the show and takes the host hostage, producer Patty Fenn (Julia Roberts) must regain control of the situation.
As you can see from the above trailer, things get pretty tense pretty quickly, and the movie looks like it will deal with the incredibly timely subject matter with some real heart and emotion. On top of that, Foster has assembled a fantastic cast. Not just the aforementioned leads (with Connell delivering on early roles in ’71 and Unbroken), but also Caitriona Balfe and Dominic West.
