Matthew McConaughey takes on the Civil War epic with the Free State of Jones, based on the true story of Newt Knight, a Southern farmer who headed a rebellion against the Confederacy that led to the secession of Jones County, Mississippi.
McConaughey is on top form as usual, and with The Hunger Games director Gary Ross at the helm, everything about this just screams epic, and will be a great Summer antidote for those looking for a break from all the blockbusters and superhero movies.
