It’s being all stops and starts for the Ghostbusters hype train so far, with Paul Feig’s high profile reboot revealing very little in the way of marketing, which is very strange for a heavy hitter in this Summer’s release schedule. But all that could be changing with the release of new images from the movie that give us another look at Kriten Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones’ spectre fighting foursome. On top of that, we get a new look of Chris Hemsworth stepping into the shoes of Annie Potts as the teams secretary, hopefully a role that sees Feig duplicate what he did with Jason Statham in Spy and pull out a hilarious comedy turn from the action star.
With the movie coming our way on July 15th, we’re long overdue for a trailer, and I get the feeling one will be coming our way very soon. Possibly, Sony are holding out to make a big impression and debut the first footage at Sunday’s Superbowl.
