It's taken its time, that's for sure, but now Stephen King's The Dark Tower is finally starting to kick into gear. Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey have come on board and will play the gunslinger and the man in black, respectively.
The Dark Tower is to begin shooting in just under 2 months in South Africa and Sony Pictures are set to release the movie on January 13th 2017. The Dark Tower spans across eight novels, multiple comic books and lots more. The series incorporates themes from multiple genres, including dark fantasy, science fantasy, horror, and Western.Whether or not they'll be eight movies is another thing, however given the time span, I wonder is there enough time to do justice to one movie, let alone eight.
