You could say Jungle Fever has taken over the globe, with Disney’s Jungle Book opening to a huge box office haul, taking nearly €1 million at the Irish box office, becoming the country’s second biggest opening behind Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. In India, Jon Favreau’s delightful and charming remake has already overtaken the lifetime grosses of both Titanic and Life of Pi. The U.S. saw the movie become the second largest April opening in industry history, with an estimated $103.6 million haul. Add this to it global gross of $136.1 million, and it has taken in an impressive $240 million worldwide.
