It’s been seven years since Tom Hanks last played Dan Brown’s heroic symbologist Robert Langdon on the big screen, but it seems like you can’t keep a good franchise down with Hanks and Ron Howard re-teaming for Inferno, which sees Langdon wake up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, teaming up with Dr. Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones) to recover his memories and stop a madman from unleashing a plague inspired by Dante’s Inferno.
Things are a bit more action focused this time round, with the clue solving and ancient texts punctuated with some blockbuster level set pieces. The previous Langdon movies, The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons, felt like a bit of a slog at times, but things promise to be a bit more dynamic for this third installment.
Released: 14th October (IRL/U.K)/ 28th October (U.S.)
