The original Jack Reacher was an absolute gem of an action movie, and really showed how bad ass Tom Cruise can be when he really puts his mind to it. The sequel is coming our way in a few short months, with The Last Samurai’s Edward Zwick replacing original director Christopher McQuarrie, and the first trailer finally comes our way, showing us it’s business as usual for Lee Child’s literary hero.
I seriously love Cruise in this role, kicking ass and not holding back with razor sharp quips. Fans of the book series will of course have their issues with the movies, but there’s no denying that with the glut of cheesy, throwaway action movies in recent years, it’s refreshing to have something that hits hard but still knows how to have fun like Jack Reacher.
