The first trailer for the return of Vin Diesel’s forgotten franchise, xXx: The Return of Xander Cage has come our way, and it’s as over the top, goofy, and kick as you would expect, with Diesel having an absolute blast as the extreme athlete turned government operative. Coaxed out of retirement by Samuel L. Jackson’s Augustus Gibbons, Cage is tasked with finding a deadly weapon named Pandora’s Box, recruiting a team of like minded cohorts and uncovering corruption in the highest levels of the world governments long the way.
Really, the story is just there to afford the cast, including Ruby Rose, Nina Dobrev, Donnie Yen, Tony Jaa, and Toni Collette, plenty of opportunity for bad ass stunts, like grinding on the side of a bus, and to spit out some cheesy, but bad ass, dialogue.
