San Diego Comic-Con held it’s preview night last night, giving those lucky, lucky ticket holders access to the con floor without fear of getting lost or crushed in a throng of people, and the most interesting thing to come out of SDCC so is a Hot Toys collectible and what it could mean for the upcoming suicide squad. Now, as loath as we are to spoil movies for people, the toy in question can be found after this extra creepy image of Jared Leto’s Joker

The Joker has his own batsuit, complete with purple and green colour scheme, tattoo’s matching the Joker’s own, and gold plated gauntlet’s. Weren’t expecting that, were you? Now, this type of ‘Joker as Batman’ design is nothing new (my Funko Pop! collection has a whole in it screaming to be filled by the vinyl version of it), and while it’s very possible this is just a conceptual piece made just for the con, it is worth noting Hot Toys is a company known for creating exact replicas of onscreen characters and it isn’t common practice for them to create something not based on elements in a movie.
So, if this is a sign of things, how exactly will it come about? It’s possible Joker could get his hands on a batsuit and create his own version to really grind Bats’ gears. But the Dark Knight is said to have a very brief role in the movie, so the Joker wearing it for any one but his arch nemesis seems a bit out of place. The explanation I’m leaning towards is part of a dream sequence, possibly Harley Quinn’s, imaging her Mr. J as her hated enemy. What do you think? Spoiler, or just awesome figure that you need right now? Sound off in the comments below.
