We all knew about it for some time, but this first teaser trailer makes finally real: Trainspotting 2 is on it’s way, and Danny Boyle has managed to reunite the original cast for the further adventures of Renton (Ewan McGregor), Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller), Spud (Ewan Bremner), and Begbie (Robert Carlyle). The trailer is more an announcement of the movie, but it does enough to get fans of the original well and truly excited.
While it is based on Irvine Welsh’s own sequel to the original novel, Porno, at this stage we don’t know how close Boyle will skew to the source material. What we do know the basic premise is there, and we catch up with the gang a couple of decades later, knee deep in the pornography business, where they no doubt get up to the usual shenanigans.
